The hostel rooms were good value but the 6 bed one (dorm 5), I stayed in was not what I saw on booking.com at all. It was dark and crowded. My 1st bunk (top one) had a big concrete beam running through it so hit my head several times and then asked for a swap to a bottom bunk which was better. The shower area was very difficult as there was nowhere to put your clothes you were removing and clean clothes so my stuff got wet. It was a small space. The glass door was a bit of a put off as although I don't think you could see through it I felt very uncomfortable when I was 1 woman sharing with 5 blokes. It got quite hot as some of my roomies turned the AC off but the fan in my bunk was a life saver 😁 The 1st few nights I spent in a 4 bed dorm with balcony and sea view, though more expensive it was clean and the bathroom facilities were great. I loved it, I would have stayed there if there had been availability 😍 I am gluten free and veggie so menu options were limited until I discovered I could ask for a fruit bowl and 1 night their kitchen cooked my gluten free pasta that I bought, into a veggie dish which was amazing. I think my fruit bowl was a lot cheaper for the place to make than the other breakfasts that I couldn't eat (breakfast included in the price so couldn't go elsewhere), so they got a good deal out of me. Although it was great it cost me $10 for the kitchen to boil my pasta and add a few veggies to it but I really appreciated them doing this. The staff were kind, helpful, pleasant and I loved them all ❤️ The location was great as slightly out of busy area, lovely deck to sea and views a bakery that did great bread and gluten free options nearby and a bit too late on I discovered a great place for food next door. A fresh water shower on deck would be great to rinse off coming out of the sea.

A winning combination of engaging activities and a prime location makes Bambuda a standout accommodation. Its location ensured convenient access to endless activities, while maintaining a tranquil and restful atmosphere. The exceptional staff, however, truly elevated the experience. Their warmth and genuine care cultivated a welcoming environment, fostering a sense of belonging throughout my visit. Delightful on-site dining was another perk. The restaurant offeres delicious meals, while the bar boastes breathtaking sunset views. The dock provided additional entertainment with its playful swings and diving platform. My spacious ocean view room with a private bath completed the picture of comfort and relaxation. Surfing was undeniably the star of the show. Bambuda's partnership with Bocas Surf Sessions is a perfect pairing. Josue, our guide from Bocas Surf Sessions, proved to be an invaluable asset. His expertise allowed us to explore multiple surf breaks and select the one best suited to our skill levels. His precise instructions ensured we were perfectly positioned to catch wave after wave, resulting in the most enjoyable surfing session I've ever experienced. Overall, Bambuda exceeded expectations on every level. I highly recommend it for an exceptional and memorable vacation.

My room was very beautiful, I especially enjoyed the balcony with the sea view. I was staying alone in a double room, would not have needed the bunk beds, but I guess all double rooms have that. The room got cleaned every day. The staff was very helpful and I appreciated the hotel whatsapp group chat to get in contact with other guests regarding trips, sharing water taxis etc., so even though I did not stay in a dorm I could get in touch with other (solo) travellers. They offer some nice trips and you can get water taxis directly from the hotel. The food in the restaurant is good, cocktails as well. I would definitely book it again when in Bocas Town, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend!!

I stayed in the sea view dorm for 4 for this part of my trip and the dorm was lovely. Great facilities, lovely view, expensive treat and wished I'd not messed my dates up as I might have spoilt myself and stayed there rather than going to the 6 bed dorm as the 4 bed dorm I first stayed in was true to life in the pictures and I got lulled into a false sense of security by the pictures on the web site showing the 6 bed dorm which in fact looked nothing like the pictures which was a shame. This party of my stay exceeded my expectations the 2nd but didn't x

Stayed at Bambuda while our 3 day visit to Panama from Costa Rica. We‘ve been to the Bocas 7 years ago and came back to meet up with family that was there on holidays. Bambuda is a good pick if you wang to be flexible in the town but stay a little bit away from the noice and hustle of the main streets. Rooms are small but comfortable and public terrace is also beautiful. Price is ok but in general Bocas are expensive if you want something nice. The dining tip Restaurant Octo was superb and the woman at reception who gave us the tip was a gem.
